GameYIYI Chrome Extension Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the GameYIYI Chrome Extension (the “Extension”), provided by GameYiYi, handles information when you browse, search for, and play HTML5 games.

1. Single Purpose

The Extension’s single purpose is to help users discover, search, open, and play HTML5 games from the GameYIYI game catalog directly from Chrome, with optional links that open the corresponding game page on GameYIYI.com.

2. Information the Extension Handles

The Extension does not require an account and does not intentionally collect your name, email address, precise location, contacts, passwords, financial information, or the contents of unrelated web pages.

When you use search, the search text you enter is sent to GameYIYI.com only to return matching games. Requests to GameYIYI.com may also produce standard server logs such as IP address, browser/user-agent information, requested URL, and request time for security, reliability, and abuse prevention.

3. Local Storage

The Extension uses Chrome local extension storage to remember a small list of recently played games and basic interface state. This information stays in your local Chrome profile and is not uploaded by the Extension for advertising or profiling.

4. Game Content and Third-Party Providers

Some games can be displayed inside an isolated iframe using the game’s HTTPS embed URL. When you choose to play such a game, your browser connects directly to the game host. That game provider may receive normal network information or use cookies/storage according to its own privacy practices. GameYIYI does not grant those framed pages access to Chrome extension APIs.

5. How Information Is Used

Information is used only to provide the Extension’s user-facing features, return the game catalog and search results, keep local recent-game history, maintain service security, and diagnose reliability issues. We do not sell personal information and do not use Extension data for credit, lending, employment, insurance, or unrelated advertising purposes.

6. Permissions

https://gameyiyi.com/*: used only to request the GameYIYI REST API, game metadata, images, and GameYIYI pages needed by the Extension.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell Extension user data. Data is shared only when needed to provide the requested functionality, comply with law, protect security, or when your browser directly contacts a game provider after you choose to play embedded third-party game content.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Recent-game history stored by the Extension can be removed by clearing the Extension’s site/extension data or uninstalling the Extension. Routine server logs may be retained for a limited period for security and reliability based on the website’s operational needs.

9. Children

The Extension is a general game discovery tool and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. Parents and guardians should supervise game use where appropriate.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when the Extension’s functionality or legal requirements change. The current version will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
